Chris Ginesi is an American theatre-maker based in Glasgow.
On screen, his credits include American Sweatshop, Sean Ellis’s The Cut and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. On stage, he has worked with Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Shotgun Players, Left Edge Theatre and companies across Northern California. His performance as Biff in Death of a Salesman received San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle recognition.
As co-founder and leader of Narrow Way Stage Company, Chris spent eleven years carrying a theatre from every angle: selecting work, assembling ensembles, fundraising, budgeting, marketing, managing venues, directing, producing and governing. The company made more than forty productions and events, received the City of Santa Rosa Merit Award for Outstanding Cultural Contribution and ultimately helped form Sonoma Arts Live.
He trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Meisner Technique Studio, later returning to RCS through its MFA pathway. A former adjunct professor at Santa Rosa Junior College, his current enquiry sits where actor training, authorship and artistic leadership meet.
He holds American and Italian citizenship, has full UK working rights and is a member of Equity UK, Actors’ Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA.
